Amber Aten

About Amber Aten, 2021 Prescott athena award finalist

  Amber has been serving her community with Yoga & Healing offerings for over 20 years. As an accomplished Mother, Entrepreneur, Yogini, Teacher and Forever Student she continues to make a positive impact on the lives of many. Her heart is committed to service and supporting the path of healing and upliftment in life and in all ways.


Her humility and authenticity as a teacher, mother and friend gives permission to those around her to find empowerment in being themselves wherever they are in the journey of life. Her passion for meeting people where they are and helping them rise, continues to influence her professional career. Amber has worked with countless recovery centers over the past 15 years supporting those recovering from addiction with yoga. Within her profession of Yoga she offers from the truth that movement can be accessible, beneficial and fun for many different body types and times of life. Amber has over 3000 hours of teaching experience sharing yoga with many diverse populations including supporting mothers and families with pre and post natal yoga, chair yoga, and children’s yoga programs through the Arizona Children's Association, the CASA programs and teaching others to teach yoga through the Ananda Lila School of Yoga.


Aside from her sharing in Yoga, Amber has utilized her heart for service in supporting programs such as the Hopi Giving Tree Project, delivering gifts and necessities to the Hopi. She served as a founding board member of the Step Up for Kids Non-Profit supporting children and families. She also worked for the International Association of Yoga Therapists for many years in support of their mission to provide yoga research and education around the benefits of Yoga.


Amber's most recent endeavor is the founding of the 501(c)3 non-profit organization Breathe.Play.Love.Yoga, whose aim is providing opportunities for people from all walks of life to experience the many universal benefits of Yoga. Breathe.Play.Love.Yoga offers donation based classes and free resources in person and online to support our collective healing.

Of all her work, accomplishments and offerings, Amber considers her role as a Mother to be her highest priority. Her children always take precedence in her life and she is filled with gratitude, awe and wonder at the amazing beings her children Gabriel, Ella, Alder and Easton have always been and are becoming.
